MotoGP Le Mans: Another (boring) Marquez victory in 2014

image

Mazbro n mbaksis, today’s race at Le Mans gave us a little hope that it was going to be a thrilling race, with a lo of battle between riders and so on. But it did not happened! Once again in another boring 2014 MotoGP races, 5 races so far, it still a boring (again) winning race for Marc Marquez. Continue reading

MotoGP Le Mans Qualification: Marquez again!!

image

Mazbro n mbaksis, as MR predicted, Marquez who dominating the last 4th races, will dominating the French GP.
And, after dominating the French GP weekend so far, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez recorded his fifth pole of the season – in as many races – and set the fastest lap ever on two wheels at the Le Mans circuit. Teammate Dani Pedrosa will start from the third row of the grid in ninth position after struggling with the time attack in qualifying. Continue reading

MotoGP Le Mans: Marquez leads the way (again….)

image

Mazbro n mbaksis, in an unusually sunny Le Mans, it was Championship leader and reigning World Champion, Marc Marquez, who was fastest in both sessions today with teammate Dani Pedrosa finishing second this morning and 5th in the combined times.
After a chilly morning with and ambient and track temperatures of just 12ºC and 13ºC respectively, temperatures rose in this afternoon’s FP2 session to 20ºC – air – and 39ºC on the track. Marc tested both option rear Bridgestone tyres but recorded his fastest time of 1’33.452 on lap 14 of 20 on the softer option – beating Dani’s record race lap from 2011 (1’33.617). It was a positive day also for Dani, who had surgery to treat compartmental syndrome in his right forearm last week. Again he used both option rear tyres and also preferred the softer, completing 22 laps in the afternoon with his best time of 1’33.942 arriving on lap 17.
FP3 will take place tomorrow morning at 09h55 local time.
And here’s the riders quotes

Marc Marquez
1st – 1’33.452
“I felt comfortable right from the start today. We began with the base setup from Jerez and worked from there. In the afternoon we tried things out with the tyres and tweaked the setup further to keep going forward. Besides being the fastest over a single lap, our pace was also really good today, so I am happy with how everything went in general. Tomorrow we shall try to do even better, because I’m sure that the rest of the riders will take another step forward”

Dani Pedrosa
5th – 1’33.942
“Today was basically a day to see what kind of shape I am in, and it went well. For the first time using my arm in ten days, the feeling is okay. I took things carefully and didn’t push too much, because I didn’t want to go 100% too soon. The initial feeling was pretty good, and we hope that things will improve further overnight. In theory today should be the toughest day, and I hope to be better tomorrow. On track I focused on putting in a lot of laps, but without making too many changes to the bike. We basically tried out the tyres, and at the moment the soft option seems to be the most adequate”

And the domination continues, and it will be once again damn booriiiinngggg race!!!

Repsol Honda Team head to Le Mans with momentum on their side (PR)

image

Mazbro n mbaksis, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa are en route to France after an incredible start to 2014, with Marc winning the first four races from pole position and Dani scoring a very positive 72 points from a possible 100, with two 2nd places and two 3rd place finishes. Thankfully Dani has healed well from his minor surgical operation last week to treat compartmental syndrome, in order to fix discomfort in his right forearm. It took just two incisions to enter the forearm, freeing the flexor and prone-extensor muscles in the appendage via minimally invasive microsurgery.
The Le Mans Bugatti circuit, very different from the much longer 24-hour car track, returned to the GP calendar in 2000 after an absence of four years, during which time the French GP was run at Circuit Paul Ricard in Provence. The track’s character is very stop-and-go, with plenty of slow turns where braking and acceleration performance are crucial. Riders and their engineers concentrate on honing their machines’ stability during braking, as well as improving rear-end traction for the numerous hairpin exits.
The 4.18km circuit features the same start-finish straight as the Le Mans 24hr event and a blindingly fast right-hander leading to the famous Dunlop chicane. Following this quick start to the lap, the stop-start character becomes evident, with a slow right-hander leading on to the main straight. It is one of nine right hand turns, and four lefts.
Dani has finished on the podium 7 times in Le Mans including an emphatic win in atrocious conditions during the MotoGP race last year and three victories in the lower classes (2003 in 125cc, 2004 and 2005 in 250cc). Marc has had mixed results at this circuit, including three DNF’s, but endured his first wet MotoGP race here last year and came through the field to take 3rd. He’s also enjoyed a victory in 2011 (Moto2) and a podium in 2010 (125cc).

MotoGP Le Mans, seruuu!!!

image

Posisinya bertahan sampai finish, Pedrosa, Cruthlow, Marquez!! Magnifico!! Jadi ga sabar nunggu seri selanjutnya nih 🙂

image

Duengg….!!!! Kaget!!! Shock n bengong plus ga percaya pas baca berita Motogp.com yang berjudul “Stoner announces retirement at end of 2012!!!

Moga aja TransTV segera nanyangin biar penontonnya ga berkurang.

Berikut petikan press conference dari motogp.com di Le Mans Prancis
“After a long time thinking, a lot of time
talking with my family and my wife, this has
been coming for a couple of years now but
at the end of this 2012 season I will be not
racing in the 2013 Championship. I will be
finishing my career at the end of this
season in MotoGP, and go forward in
different things in my life,” Stoner told the
assembled press.
“After so many years of doing this sport
which I love, and which myself and my
family made so many sacrifices for, after so
many years of trying to get to where we
have gotten to at this point, this sport has
changed a lot and it has changed to the
point where I am not enjoying it. I don’t
have the passion for it and so at this time
it’s better if I retire now.
“There are a lot of things that have
disappointed me, and also a lot of things I
have loved about this sport, but
unfortunately the balance has gone in the
wrong direction. And so, basically, we
won’t be continuing any more. It would be
nice if I could say I would stay one more
year, but then where does it stop? So we
decided to finish everything as we are
now.”
